to host celebratory cocktail reception Monday
February 12, 2007 at Arthur's
in Hyde Park Square
COAST co-founder and spokesman Thomas E. Brinkman, Jr. was
named Chairman of the Commerce and Labor Committee of the
Ohio House of Representatives last week by Ohio House Speaker
John Husted. The Commerce and Labor Committee is one of the
eight major committees in the House of Representatives. It
has jurisdiction over business regulation, licensure and registration,
workers compensation and unionization/collective bargaining
issues.
"We
congratulate Tom Brinkman, Jr. on his elevation to this position,"
said COAST Chairman Jim Urling. "We are pleased that
the House leadership has recognized the same leadership qualities
in Representative Brinkman that COAST has come to appreciate.
Ohio will benefit even more from Representative Brinkman's
service with this new role."
Brinkman first won election to the Ohio House in 2000 on a
platform of promoting lower taxes and limited government.
Since elected, his voting record has been a pristine 100%
in favor of more limited government spending and opposing
increased levels of taxation. The COAST Candidates PAC has
endorsed each of his elections since its formation.
COAST will host a congratulatory reception for Tom Brinkman,
Jr. at Arthur's
in Hyde Park Square on Monday, February 12, 2007 from 5:30
PM to 7:30 PM. Please stop by to extend your wishes to Representative
Brinkman for his continued success. If you can't make it,
