Mr. Finney is a shareholder in the law firm of Finney, Stagnaro, Saba & Patterson Co., L.P.A.., where he concentrates in real estate law, commercial law and litigation, and constitutional litigation. Mr. Finney won an important victory in 1997 in the First Amendment rights case styled Kruse, et al. v. City of Cincinnati, et al., in which the City of Cincinnati's campaign spending limits ordinance was ruled unconstitutional. In 1998, the United States Supreme Court refused to hear the case, preserving victory for Mr. Finney's clients.

It was in part as a result of this victory that Mr. Finney was named one of eight "Ohio Attorneys of the Year" for 1998 by Ohio Lawyer Weekly, the only comprehensive source of statewide legal news for Ohio attorneys and judges.

Mr. Finney is also involved in a variety of civic causes in Cincinnati, including serving as Chairman of the Hamilton County Tax Levy Review Committee and on the Board of Trustees of the Drake Center. Mr. Finney serves as legal counsel to the Coalition Opposed to Additional Spending and Taxes (COAST).

In 1997, Mr. Finney was named "Educator of the Year" by the Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors.

Mr. Finney concentrates his legal practice in the following areas: Real estate; real estate title; real estate brokerage; commercial litigation, zoning and land use; constitutional law; campaign finance and election law.
